coilover question in regaurds to hub position and CCW wheels

So here is my dilemma, I installed RPM tubular A-arms and coilovers and now my CCW hang out way past the cladding. Before I installed the kit I measured and insured my CCW wheels fit before getting them refinished. Now after the fact the poke way out and I don't know if I'm missing something or if there is that much adjustment between the RPM kit and a stock style control arms. I also have the Edelbrock adjustable links. Let me show you guys some pics to see what I mean a little better

Passenger side is still setup with stock a-arms and stock tie rod end, torsion bar and here is where the wheel sits compared to the cladding

Flat piece from the edge of the cladding down straight to height of tire (excuse the trim is all I had that was flat at that moment)

Now here is the driver side with complete RPM kit new Moog ball joints and the edelbrock links also the torsion bar has been removed from this side

Same piece of trim straight off the cladding

So when measuring with a level down the side of the cladding straight and then measuring from the flat surface of the rotor to that edge the rpm side is 4 3/4 inches and the stock side is 3 3/4 inches. So my question is am I missing something? Is there that much adjustment in the camber bolts that is can out of adjustment and inch? This is 28k miles truck so the passenger side is still adjusted to stock specs. So now my CCW's hang out past the cladding an inch. New centers for each CCW are $250 a side so I don't want to have to replace them, when they fit before the coilover kit. Any info or ideas would be greatly appreciated

Measure the stock a-arm that you took off in comparison with the new a-arms you didn't put on yet.

You will be looking at the lower a arm as that controls width and front and rear tire location. The upper a arm controls your alignment specs. Nothing you do to the upper can change track width without putting your alignment specs out the window.

Not sure it would make 1" difference, but did you align the side you have installed yet? The big concern would be camber which you could do with a level to get it close.

Well I just layed the A-arms ontop of each other and they apppear to be the same length and mounting positions.

Jeff is there really that much adjustment in the bottom a-arm? Right now the truck is sitting in the air will the tire move in that much when I drop it down? I checked the wheels before just how it is sitting now

Do you possibly have your rear tire on the front of the truck? No way the a-arms would be 1" longer and still work with the axle.

Rear tires are 335 on a 12 inch rim front tires are a 295 on a 10 inch rim. I even took the 335 and mounted it up front to see if I screwed up the center sections of the wheels, but they were numbered as they were taken apart and they def are all the correct pieces

Have you got the upper and lower A arms in the wrong way round?

I'll take the CCW's and you can put stockers back on it. That should fix the problem but no guarantees.

did you "roll out" the suspension for it to settle into place.

I'm really curious if you figured this out? I've been trying to come up with theories but can't think of anything really all that plausible. The only thing that I can think of is you managed to mix up the centers? throwing off your backspacing? how do the rear wheels fit now?

Re: coilover question in regaurds to hub position and CCW wheels

It may just be the pics, but the tubular arms look like they don't match up length-wise at the mounting points.

Is the ball joint moved further outward on the new arms?

I was able to adjust the upper control arm in enough to make the wheel and tire sit almost flush with a cladding so now I'm hoping once I drop it back on the ground and let it roll out it should be better. Also figure once the Bowtie motor goes in the weight will pull it in even a little more at the top of the tire.

how is the alignment? does the the truck have alot of negative camber now? wanting to do this mod to my sy as well then i seen the troubles you were having and was curious on the fault and the repair, just incase i run into this problem. truck looks good with the ccw's
how much are you going to lower the truck?
