cool now I know where the knock retard is coming from :drinking: . I thought the coil had to be grounded but was not sure. Mite explaine my idle problem and kr.

I don't think the coil needs to be grounded. It may help reduce electrical noise, if it's grounded (especially if there are some other bad connections).
