Cladding Tab Repair?

My rear drivers side, over fender, cladding has a couple of tabs that are coming off. Come to think of it, one fell off in my hand today. What should I use to re-secure them? Is there an epoxy type deal I can buy at the local parts joint?
Thanks,
Daron

i've had good luck with JB Weld

X2... The pass. headlight tabs on my Denali broke clean off and JB Weld put them back on like nothing happened. You can pick it up at any hardware store. Make sure whatever you are putting back together is clean, dry, overnight time to dry, and use some sandpaper on both sides so they have something to bond to. Good Luck and let us know how it worked.

Re: Cladding Tab Repair?

I bought some "Plastic Weld" two part epoxy from Advance Auto that I am going to try on one of the tabs. I will let you know how it goes.

I used Fusor plastic repair. The black kind is for semi-flexible plastics like our cladding. No problems since I repaired the piece back in '04, and it's been through some harsh temperatures.

Ok, I finally got around to fixing the tabs. The Plastic Weld stuff worked pretty damn good. Hopefully it holds up!

Cool I will have to try some of this stuff. I had a piece painted but still don't have it on because of the busted tabs

Re: Cladding Tab Repair?

Two questions?

1. I don't have an Advance Auto here so who makes the "Plastic Weld" two part epoxy so I can find it by manufacturer?

2. I have a plastic welder and don't have the TPU "plastic rods" for our cladding, any one have a clue where to find them?

I have several tabs and cracks to repair on some spare cladding I have and want to try both methods of repair.

Thanks!
