what chip should i order? just bought my first typhoon though id ask you guys, im in east tn no ty s sy s around here, atr told me to use there chip and not to go to the 3 bar map what do you think? would like to order something asap what do i do? and where should i get parts? thanks steve

dont take this the wrong way, not being an ass.... but go ahead and hit the search button on top of the page there and look up:

"Ultimate Chip"

you'll find lots of info on the chip and where to purchase it.

stay away from the ATR "Shitbull"....

ATR is going to tell you not to do 3bar, as they don't offer it.

You will see from the search the ultimate is the only way to go.

I worked on a sy last night, had 2 bar, installed 3 bar and boost control went from spikes, to controled within 1psi. Just 1 of the advatages.

There are options other then the ultimate.

The atr would be second in line... although its far down the line.
Dont bother thinking about kb, hyperblah, superchips, etc.

Like the other guys said, stock or the ultimate. The Ultimate was designed and produced by SyTy guys, for SyTy guys.

And by the way, I live just south of Knoxville.

I'd take your time before throwing a chip in. IMHO.

Get a scantool, and see how your truck is running. Make sure
you don't have issues on the stock chip first.

Upgrade the fuel pump and AFPR.

If you want the best, look to get one custom tuned to your truck.
A generic chip will work with some, and not others. FWIW.

Here's a hint: I sell chips, and I'm telling you not to get a chip yet.

Get a scan tool; for a mildly modified truck, you are better off doing about a half dozen other things before you consider a chip.

I'm just assuming they (meaning the cheap & easy mods) aren't done yet, as you are asking about chips, and that is a FAQ type of question.

I was sent that picture almost 2 years ago in an e-mail, back when I started Tri-State SyTy here in NJ/NY/PA. I assume you, e-mailed me interested in joining.....unless you bought the truck within 2 years? I dunno, Im as confused as you are. Either way, I emailed whoever sent me the picture for more information and I never heard back and for the past 2 years Ive been trying to find out whos friggin truck it is. You can ask all the NY NASTE guys, Ive been hounding them to keep an eye out for it. So bascially, thats the story on how I got the picture. :D

Ah, yes, now i remember. i did send that picture. for some reason i never saw the e-mail you sent back though. so i figured i wasn't cool enough to join NASTE or something :wink: anyway, i'm in between three states right now so i don't know where my home is... for the most part, the ty stays here in TN at school with me, but this summer It'll me staying in my parents garage down in FL where they just moved to from NY. I'll be in NY for the summer though with moms cl-s. i'm trying to save miles on the ty (which does still have a NY plate) because i plan on doing some mods after summer. anyway, probably more than you wanted to know. but hope you're less confused now. the mystery man is revealed :D
