hi guys, newbe here, need help getting chip from a reputable source for a 91 clone,bought the truck a couple of days a go for my son,guy I bought it from had just put vortec heads and cam on a 114 center truck starts,idles like crap and throws a code 45,check fpr,checked ok, did a search but came up empty,check map sensor,temp and tps all ok all ign. Components are new. I e-mailed a guy by the name of nolan but he didn't have a tune for 40'bs.inj. Thanks.

Where are you located? Finding a local tuner would be best as getting a shelf chip can still be a gamble on the tune. Or if you are so inclined, learning to tune for yourself is nowhere near as intimidating as it once was.

I 'm texas far west,elpaso no local tune shop for this thing here though,im kind of on a time schedule,i have to trailer this thing to houston on saturday. So I was trying to get a chip by then.

If you want to get into Code59 equipment and tuning (I would recommend) you could use the 40lb tune that I did for my Syclone... it's a good, safe tune as posted on the site.

I have 60lb inj. I just haven't put them in, I wanted to be able to start the truck,didnt know if the 60lb would let it with out the tune.

Nope, you change one thing on these trucks and it affects the tune big time... I'm helping another guy with a Code50 60lb tune right now. If you got the emulator or chip burner you could try that tune.. it wouldn't be perfect, and would need to be adjusted for your truck, but if you get the 60lb'ers in, it would be a start.
