Can someone please help me identify this chip. I just bought the Typhoon and want to start tuning but it has a ton of mods some of which I plan to remove but first things first I need to ID everything :)

It does have a moates remote switch attached.

Cant you ask the seller? the chip carrier looks like the same style Phil Long/turbo time use to sell. Plug in a scanner and read the prom ID off the unit. This should give you a better clue.

Re: Chip ID

I bought it from a used car dealer so no clue who did the work :(

I have some stuff on order, when it arrives I'll be able to pull the prom id until then I was just hoping someone might recognize it. I have different options to select with the moates unit but no idea what I'm selecting...

Re: Chip ID

I just ordered the cables, I guess my question is how to tell what programs have been loaded on the chip. I don't want to do any damage by running something that could be hazardous.

You need a way to read that chip and download the bin(s) from it.. Most people don't burn chips anymore rather they just buy emulation hardware. Where are you located? Maybe someone near you has the hardware to read the chip and ID the bin..

Re: Chip ID

what truck number do you have? last four digits on the vin...could help determine who the previous owner was. Someone here has the skills to find out. Could save you alot of time.

Re: Chip ID

It was for sale in Monroe Washington at a used car dealership for a long time. They put in a new motor and turbo. Less than half a tank of gas after I picked it up the trans started gushing, grrrrrr. Long story but $2,5000 later now I've got a new motor turbo and transmission, lol

Its a 92 and the number is 2243. If anyone knows anything about this truck that would be awesome.
