Thats cool....NOT!, why can't people leave SyTy's alone. I don't understand why these people hack up classic cars. You don't see me hacking up a 1968 Corvette Stingray so why a SyTy? You just don't do it, so why do people always want to mutilate their SyTy's I can't understand...

If you wanna drop in a big motor into that style body go buy a S10 for half the cost and cut it up.

Hopefully when people go to these steps they have considered that is most likely cheaper to use a regular S-Series or that the Syclone was already trashed and was "salvaged" this way.

I think this would be a great project for a regular S-10 with the "Cyclone" body kit.

Why pillage a Sy?
Any real input as to why?

Wasn't there two vids of this truck flooting around? I remember seening it run 9s in one and the other was him launching on a street towards the camera right?

there was one vid of him doing a 100+mph fly by and it was 5 seconds long. all you heard was a blip of exhaust and he started out faaaar away.

if anyone cares Jason no longer owns it. as i understand a guy named Ry owns it now. Ry also owns a badass Ty thats hitting low 12s at this altitude, and a suped up 90 ZR-1. he owned a Sy for a while too. pick it up for stupid cheap and sold it for over double what he payed if i rememer correctly.

This is kinda like all the GN's I see with stroker v8's in them, how can you call it a real GN? :roll:

Yea Syclones are really worth a lot of money when they aren't hacked up...

I just saw a really rare one sell for $5k and it was in good shape... they are depreciating like mad. I see no reason not to hack one up if that's your thing.

I dont see wy everyone is complaining abou his truck. it is HIS truck. if you dont want to do all that to your truck then dont. Why modify anythign then why not jsut keep it bone stock? The motor he built and the results he produced were very impressive, when all said and done that is all that should matter.

Those are the pics that I originally used to start the thread that started all the thrash about the truck. Looks like the thread was deleted.

I really feel bad about starting that thread. I purchased some parts from Jason, and in the conversation he brought up his Sy. Later on in the conversation, I asked if I could post the pics and not lead on to who owns it. Did that, and **** really hit the fan.


The way I see it, it's Jason's money, or was if I remember right he sold that Sy, and he can do whatever he wants to with it. If it will make anyone feel better, it's a salvage title truck and he had it shipped from New York to Colorado.

If I rememeber right, it IS still awd? Anyway, I won't debate about doing what ya want with your truck. I had a whole post dedicated to my truck which flamed me for having a cowl hood on it :roll:

I don't get upset when I see that anymore. LOL.....I just think to myself "Wow mine just went up in value" I agree its his truck let him do what he wants. I used to get upset...but now I just think of how mine is going be worth something someday :lol:
