I use eather to find Vac. leaks. works awsome.. if you have A Vac. leak, the rpm will go up when you spray around the area you think it is leaking..

lol. Hey Pinellas...

Where was the vacuum leak on your motor, and wht method did you use to find it? Also, what other symptoms were you getting? Thanks.

Matt

I responded to this in your PM too. When I got my truck the cruise didn't work. I was looking around under the hood trying to familiarize myself with the truck. I just happened to notice the vacuum hose lying on the lower intake not hooked up to anything.

The only symptom I had other than the cruise not working was if you let the truck idle for about a minute the CEL would come on. Once you started to drive it would turn off.

If it hasn't been suggested yet in this thread, just get in there and replace all the vacuum lines if they even look slightly old. You will frequently find a group purchase here on a silicone line set. For the life of me I can't remember who makes them right now but it's a great kit complete with all check valves and even wire ties.

Re: Check Engine light???

Had fun last night. I did find a vacuum hose disconnected under the aftercooler. I couldn’t find where it was supposed to go for the life of me, so I capped it. After I capped it, I ran the bike tube test and I'm still getting a hissss from under the aftercoller region. Pumped that thing for hours looking for it. I'm suspect that the manifold is leaking...? Any thoughts?

Take a pic of the disconnected hose and where you found it.

Re: Check Engine light???

Search here for a vacuum line routing diagram. I know it's here somewhere. I found it the last time I looked.

The line under the intercooler goes to the front of the upper intake if memory serves. That's the same one that was disconnected on mine. The cruise should tie into that one I believe.

Don't quote me on that. Post a pic and find that diagram.

Cool. I'll have to take a closer look. Thanks for the effort in posting the diagram. SyTy owners are nice...
