Coming back from a errand yesterday morning... the Ty started to stumble and acting piggish (slow, unresponsive, meh), then the check engine light came on. Pulled into a parking lot, turn off, and went in to the store for a few minutes. Came out, the Ty fired right up, but stumbled and died. Was able to get it home, but when I went to pull the codes.... nothing.... just 12, over and over....

Anything?

As stupid as this may sound I had this happen in my 92 S10, random CEL, sluggish and poor performance but it wouldn't hold a code. I just had that gut feeling it was the O2 sensor and I changed it out, problem solved.

My O2 ground was dodgy and the truck did the same thing.

Do you drive your Ty often? If not, check your air cleaner assembly. A rodent may have packed a nest in there and it is hindering your airflow after getting sucked against the filter. Just a thought...

Tried to start it today... just cranked. Saw the tach bouncing... looks like the Delco ICM is fried... again!

Looks like I'm getting the one with the lifetime warranty now.

OK... F that. I can hear it running like it's plugged up (no cat), it's no sounding like it normally does. It's taking extended periods of time to crank over.... and I just put a new module in it.

Still CEL, but no stored code. Ignition wise: TSP Distributor (JM6651R), MSD coil, and now a Airtex/Wells module. Checked the timing and it's dead on.

Anyone?

I saw one Syclone with a collapsed turbo to intercooler hose. Acted just like a plugged exhaust. Looked normal on the outside.
