Challenge to Robert..

Robert and I did read the "Tom Ferricks challenge" forwarded By Ed...

A lithe confusing for mee because as its reads I personaly would´nt be a messenger of THAT kind of "challenge"

Let Tom do his own challenges Ed and dont be caugt in the middle..You´ll certanly get the "load" then, as U had to coments 2 times "Im only the messenger"...

And now for some real stuff...

Robert have had 2 dreams about his Sy.. to be fastest, get the 8, and to run in the nat´s

He has acomplish the first one, until someone els is showing up video and timeslips to prove othervise..

The 8 (for Sy´s) is forever to be set in sweden fort the first time, thats a fact..

Did anyone ever thought an 8 was possible for 2-3 years ago?? start aming for the 7, the tecnology, parts and "know how" is just around the corner..

Robert´s truck is now at halifax so the second dream is soon to bee reached and remember he is there for a good time and meet other Sy/Ty "nuts" and hopefull do some realy nice runs on YOUR tracks.. NOT to get "coup´s" more to se IF its possible to run as good at your tracks as he done at our tracks..

This "going to the nat´s" made Robert to miss 2 month of the season over here, 5 race possibilitys in Sweden 1 in Norway and 1 in England, still THIS is the dream he always wanted to do..

Gettosled said it well.. (Thanks for that mike)

"Regardless who has the faster truck, let's face it Roberts sy is fast. It's no easy accomplishment to go 10's, yet alone 9's or 8s.. The fact that he is willing to ship half way accross the world when most of us complain about a 5 hr drive says alot. He's not looking to make money, he wants to prove his times are real, and prove he has the fastest truck...

The way it sounds to me is Ed is backing down to race Robert heads up at the Nats, and now wants to set up a race with someone elses' truck at their home track b/c his sy isnt fast enough. Sounds like typical street racing smack talk.. If you want the title "worlds fastest syty" show up at the Nats and make it happen, or just sit at home and make excuses.

Robert had a tough enough time paying to get his truck here, do you think he has an extra $10k to gamble with? "

And for the "History of fast gunslinger´s" when a "Gunfighter" (Hipshot Percuson,Whyat Earp.. :D ) got an reputation to be fast. the challenger traveled to HIS home town.. not the other way around..

So all challenger´s, welcome to Sweden and Säve for a race, I´ll chip in the first $50 for the cost´s.

And Ed, Im not sure I inturpend you right but Roberts truck IS up to the NHRA specs of cage and other safety equipment.. and licensed to, according to NHRA but for sweden.. we USE your NHRA rules here..

Come to the nat´s and have a good time, this is the only time Robert and his truck would bee in US..so dont miss it, I will not.

Regards to You all Anders.

Ps No gringos in sweden :D only Wikings Ds.

Nice classy response Anders, (maybe Ed will learn something someday ?? doubtful) I wish I was going to the Nats, but I refuse to without a truck. I'm going to miss seeing you guys and seeing the 1st truck that actually hit the 8's and can back it up..

There no doubt you guys paid your dues and have done ALOT for R&D on how to get an oversized brick pushing through the air at insane ET's.

Best wishes to you guys at KCIR, dont be surprised if the truck runs slower there, ( I do hope you can run an 8 to prove all the haters here WRONG) but KCIR seems to slow everyone down and usually the ambient air temp is close to the point of melting copper there..

ditto from me 2.

Re: Challenge to Robert..

anders,

Like i said i was only the messenger.

as for the nhra spec thing, you'll probably be ok in kc without bars out the back because that is a track rental and tech probably wont even be there. i.e. in the usa trucks have to have bars from the rear hoop extending towards the back welded to the frame.
I didnt know the nhra printed different rulebooks for different countries. kinda interesting, you would think they would have everyone on the same safety rules.

looks like they deleted the thread, shame the other readers here couldnt take it for the challenge it is.

I'm still trying to figure out how they got into the north-south civil war and east west nonsense.

btw i kinda expected many to get fired up.

anyway if robert doesnt have the funds to take tom up it shouldnt matter if his truck is that fast.

So for now tom's challenge still stands unless he tells me otherwise.

Ed we have the same rules, but all have equaly right to seek dispense on the rules, as we did and got that

The bars in question is removed by a dispense only walid as long as Roberts truck is a street legal truck.. the same second he only have it for race the bars is a must..

By the way the truck is EPA clear..

The High speed he have run made the track officials tell him "end of race this time get a "shute" for the next"

And as for Toms Challenge, he´s welcome to sweden any time.

Maybe this thread won't get locked early like the other one did. I swear it's like watching the UFC here, refs end everything before it gets worked out.

I'm taking a video cam w/tripod and will take as much video as I possibly can. I'm still looking for a spare battery so I don't miss anything. Even have the ac/dc convertor for the car so if I have to, I can plug in the vid cam while driving around to keep the video rolling/charging.

It's a Hi8 cam, but it's a sony and I tried it out at Bandimere for Mopar Mile High nationals. It takes great video. Renz has volunteered his services to get it converted to mpg and dvd so everyone can have the footage.

Re: Challenge to Robert..

Order? You and Robert get them free! I'll even pay shipping overseas. It's the least I can do just to see his truck in action!

Everyone will get a DVD for the cost of shipping. DVD-R's are cheap.

Re: Challenge to Robert..

to tom and ed,

I have the use of a 2005 yukon XL with the 8.1L motor to tow my truck to KC for nats, if either of you are interested in going, I will be more than glad to tow either one of you out there. I know Ed has a car trailer so that shouldn't be a problem, all I ask is that you chip in on gas money, since it'll cost nearly $1000 just to get there and back.

If you are not interested in this offer thats fine, just realize that everyone wants to see you guys compete, if the site can help robert make the trip from sweden the least I can do is help get the nj/pa guys to KC.

I find it ironic a guy can travel 4500 miles with his truck, yet someone else can't seem to make it 800 to give him a good race.

Heck once his truck hits the states I am driving 2400 miles just to get it and that doesn't count the drive to KC and back.
