Centering Wheels?

I have noticed that after lowering the rear of my typhoon the wheels have been pushed forward and are not in the center of the wheelwell. How can I center the wheels again while keeping the truck lowered? Thanks in advance.

You have to turn the metal wedge around. This centered mine for the most part but not totally.

I have the belltech 3" lowering leaf springs with 2" angled blocks. I don't have the factory wedge shim in place because the angled blocks give me the correct pinion angle. I just want the wheels to be in the center of the wheelwell.

you need to move the angled shim to the top of the lowering block.

I am NOT using the angled shim, the lowering blocks are angled already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is exactly the look I want. The rear wheel is perfectly center. One question, the angled lowering blocks I have on the truck now, are they compatible with these back plates? If so, I just place these back plates underneath the lowering block right, and the lowering block should lay ontop of the back plate nipple, correct? Thanks

They should. keep in mind your going to lower it another 1/2". And they are no longer made in steel, they're aluminum.

my bad i didn't see you weren't using the shim. if you have the angled side of the block on the spring it'll shift it forward a lot unless both ends are angled.

No, the flat side is laying on the spring and the angled side is underneath the axle.

My truck came lowered a little bit by the previous owner. The rear axle ended up in the forward position. It makes it a real bitch when you pull the rear driveshaft (to do a tranny R&R) because its jammed in there so tight!!

i just dissassembled my stock leafs yesterday, to pull the factory wedge out, so that I can use it on my Belltech springs. Question... My Belltechs have a spacer on them alreay, they came like that. Do i remove it and install the wedge?? or do i leave the Belltech spacer, and install the wedge?

right, but the belltechs come with a little spacer plate already on them. So do i install the wedge ontop of the spacer, or do i remove the spacer and install the wedge?

Putting the spacer on top of the wedge will screw up the wheel positition again.
Put the wedge on top of the spacer.

:tup: i just wasnt sure if the belltech plate was part of the 3" drop. But hey, can't hurt.

I put the wedge on the spacer. I figure taking out the spacer was only going to raise the truck up anyways.
