Well for what its worth, I have received 2 pm's and an email in regards to the word censoring. Some people feel its necessary and have no use to read or see it in posts. Some people dont use profanity in their conversations and dont mind NOT seeing it. Personally I use it a wee bit more than I oughta but it doesnt offend me to see it, in the interests of everyone I think it maybe wise to keep it in place if it softens some posts.

If people would behave, we wouldn't even need it. I'd prefer just "bleeping" the word to "f__k" and "s__t" or something, rather than actually changing the word. It's not like people don't know what's it's supposed to say anyway... As a temporary measure, I think it's ok. I would like the board to be a bit more civil again, and thus have the filter turned off...

I suggest that everyone browsing this thread go read it again.
We hope to update this agreement and distribute it via email to ALL registered users just so that everyone is reminded.

As far as replacing curse words, we thought it would appear humorous if in the middle of some of these flame wars someone is reduced to calling someone a focking kitty cornhole or whatever.
You can obviously see how that is less offensive than the original intended statement.

Basically like it or not it is a necessary evil at this time.

I think the censoring should be removed. The site has operated without it for a long time and things were just peachy. The cost of entry to this particular hobby is high enough to keep most "punks" out. The few derelicts can be dealt with on an individual basis.

But at the very least, and if nothing else, please do something other than "shizzle" because its incredibly annoying when my posts get changed to sound like I said something in a manner I certainly did not intend to say. I never talk like a "gangsta" unless I am being sarcastic.

Owning trucks that are as big of bitches, okay as big of FRUSTRATIONS as they are (and I am certain every one of you knows what I'm talking about), some times swear words just gotta be said and it helps to vent!! We are all mature and adults here so I think we can handle it.

Im new on here but I am not new to this whole ordeal. Over on Realoldspower.com, it got so bad people were posting pics of gay porn saying it was another user and so on. Now I think cuss words are pretty much harmless unless directed at another user or there opinions. But I agreed to the rules of this site that is not owned by me. So i will respect the owners opinions and "house rules". Now if respectable vendors or a child came on here what would they think if they saw the real ass fuck shit words. Now I think the smart thing to do would be what ROP did and give people warnings about loop hole cuss words (fuk, shlt, and so on) and if they disobey they get suspended. IMO this site should be kept respectable. Its the best syty posting site and also the most informant. Lets keep it that way.
