Were the CD players the same for the 92 and 93 Typhoon? Was that exact CD player found in other GM makes? (as you can probably tell, I'm looking for one for my '92) Could you get a CD player in a Syclone?

I think the fitting is universal for one's w/or w/o tape and or CD player... Shouldn't be hard to find at all :wink:

CD players for Sy's and Ty's were the same.The thing that makes them unique is the built in 5 band graphic equalizer.I dunno if they came in anything else,but they prolly did.

i think they might have came in some higher end buicks like the roadmaster for example

Syclone's didnt get CD players. As far as im concerned

SyTy CD players are the GM universal. The 5 band EQ is a little rare but not hard to find at all. All makes had this CD player readily available in higher end models with the 1.5 din. Not a hard find at all. When you see people selling a radio as a SyTy specific for a higher price, laugh and go take a walk through about any junk yard in America. Unless you're going for the complete bone stock effect, I'd get one out of a 98+ S-series. Alot better sound quality IMO. Good luck.

No, the 92 doesn't have an EQ and the 93 does. Also they are a little different in apperance from 92 to 93.

Syclone's only came with a tape deck.

edited- a friend has a 92 with a cd and no eq, the big seek and scan buttons are in the place where the eq is.
Assuming his came out of the factory like that, there are 92's with the eq and without the eq, but you never know what prevous owners have done.

they should, there still 1.5 din in 98+, i've never tried though.

wiring is different, but you could change the fact tory plug or make an adapter as most stero shops should have the plugs you would need to do so.
