cat question

search is in debug mode again, otherwise i wouldnt bother asking.

has anyone removed the cat (keeping it functional and intact) and made a pipe to fill the gap? what i want to do is run no cat, but keep the cat handy when smog check time comes up, and be able to bolt the cat back in... i thought about getting a dump tube but theyre pretty effn loud, and they bitch about that at the track.

yeah, they have. try the saudi resonator. it use to be part number 15602831 but not sure if they even make it anymore. but any good muffler shop will be able to make you a "test" pipe.

thanks for the info bdubb, ill run it by a muffler shop and see whats up.

removing the cat, really just helps in spoolin up faster right?

should backpressure or overboost be a concern if a have an ext gate?

It should spool way faster and your exhaust tone should sound a bit different. Not much though. I think with an ext wg you'll be ok.
