Can't put it into words..

UnderPressure

Boost is GOOOOD!
I was told that the typhoons had something on the transmission that could go bad and that the odometer would read in duplicate. Like if you drive an actual 35 miles the speedo would show 70 miles. Is this true and if it is can it be fixed?

Sorry for the dumb question.

lol

Don't let who ever told you this anywhere near your truck.

Only way for this to occur if I was to take a wild guess would be to change out the ring/pinion ratio but um it wouldn't double or triple the milage on the od. It would make your mph read off a slight bite.

Wouldn't it be more likely that they changed the speedo gear in the tranny than the ring & pinion? Was the person that sold you the truck the one that told you this? Perhapse he was trying to tell you there weren't actually that many miles on it?

No? I though these still had a speedo cable, but I guess that would make sense with having the abs sensors. I'm used to old cars (65 chevelle, 86 omni, 90 cav) and they are all gear driven. I didn't even think about that

nope, no cable.

vehicle speed is picked up from an electronic sensor on the transfercase.
