Canadian Sy/Ty Nationals were awesome

We worked around the cold and rain and got the race off on Sunday and had a great time all weekend. We had a good turn out and had some awesome times from a few trrucks:

Steve ran 10.84 @123 (Syclone)
Dean ran 11.08 @125 (with traction issues / Typhoon)
Tony ran 11.15 @123 (Syclone)
Rick ran 11.30's @122 (Syclone)
Nolan ran 11.82 @ 112 mph with baby Ty
Mark (me) ran 12.35 @ 108 with my stock motor Typhoon

Everyone else ran awesome and not too much breakage (only 1 tranny, but I guess that's what happens to a 700R4 when you make 640 ft.lbs at the wheels)
We had a heads up eliminator and Steve won with a 10.95 in the final aginst Tony who now is going to have bad dreams about SRT4's (LOL)

Thanks Cam for planning a great weekend, can't wait till next year.

yeah, good work Cam. And thanks Mark, for opening up the shop to look around and even do a few dyno pulls, that was pretty cool. Cant wait for next year, and maybe even the US nats. Maybe I will wake up earlier and actualy race next year too. Oh and thanks Nolan for inviting us over on friday (I think the girlfriend might owe you a bottle of wine too).

I agree, when we got rained out on Saturday, Nolan and Mark made sure there was still something to do involving our trucks. My wife and I would like to thank everyone, especially Cam for doing a great job, and ACE for sponsoring our Bud Park entrance fees.

First I would like to thank you all for making the time to come out.

A big thank you to Harold for sponsoring the entry fee's, Vince for doing the trophies and to Barb and Nolan for opening up their home on Friday night and providing us with a little too much beer and pizza  And to Mark and Nolan for their work at the dyno session on Saturday.

Overall the event was a huge success and a ton of fun despite the conditions mother nature supplied. Next year I will plan it a month or 2 earlier and hopefully the weather will cooperate!

The tropies went to......
Steve / Quickest ET, Modified.
Jeff / Quickest ET, Stock
Cam / Best of Show.......Thanks girls ;)

I'll try to make a video of the event tomorrow night, if I can find the energy ;)

Bring on the pics!!

Damn that Ty is lickum clean

Thanks for organizing the weekend Cam, I know you put alota work into the whole deal. Finally a syty t-shirt that Janer likes and wants to wear(last years was gooder too).

A really big thankyou to Harold for the entry sponsorship, I don't think I said so in person but that was great.

Had some good laughs, stayed up too late and not enough sleep, everything a gathering should be. :rotf:

Next year leave that deathtrap BMX at home though, or make sure I don't ride it, my hand is still sore :rotf:

Saw some quick times out of everyones trucks.

To bad Deans Ty didn't have to coast for 300 feet to that 11.0, woulda been a solid 10 second run.
Jeff got a new PB, hope him and Robin had a safe trip home.
Rick finally got to see the full potential of his Sy, helluva ride ain't it?
How abot Mark in that stock motor Ty?
Steve and the ACE truck, Ran 10's all day long, I swear i didn't let you win, no matter what Harold thinks ;)
Or my personal favorite, Baby Ty. Better keep your truck away from yer hubby Barb.

It was really nice to see most of the local syty's all in one place sunday, I'm sure it impressed all the racers at the track. If nothing else it's nice to visit with all the syty friends for a few days, seems like you never get enough time to talk to all the people you want to though, Jay, Patti, Bruce.

Looking forward till next year that's for sure. :D

Tony's truck was looking killer with his new black ZR1's and the shiny Baer's peaking out from behind

Cam,
Quite simply, you did a great job.
I still can't believe that you were able to get such a prime spot to show case the Sy/Ty's when eveyone else was parked in the muddy field...Well done !!!

The t shirts are even better than last years version. Please let me know if you have any leftover.

It was a lot of fun to hang out and learn from you guys, even though 3 barfing kids meant we had to leave after the first run...

Oh well, it was well worth the trip.
Pretty good crew in E-town, and some great trucks, too.

Don't worry Cam, I won't tell Tony that you pulled 2 plug wires...this is just the internet thingymadoodle ..he will never know why his truck was slower on Sunday

Re: Canadian Sy/Ty Nationals were awesome

Whose truck made the 525hp, Steve? I was hoping to see all of the dyno results. I'm curious both how much power guys were getting out of their trucks and what kind of mph it was turning into at the strip.

Re: Canadian Sy/Ty Nationals were awesome

Only one syclone was put on the dyno, cuz Rick was the only one who felt like pulling his propshaft.

Re: Canadian Sy/Ty Nationals were awesome

Ricks truck made 525HP. Steve's truck made 545HP and Dean's made 570HP but both Steve and Deans were tweeked more at the track. Deans truck at 4200lbs needed over 600rwhp to go 125mph so the dyno numbers are not the full story. My truck made 360rwhp but with the tunning I did at the track, it showed I neede 415rwhp to run 12.35@108
