Can I put a factory CD player in my Syclone?

Hi Everyone

I was wondering if the Original Delco CD player w/ equalizer from a 1992 GMC Typhoon (GM part number 16085434) will work in my Syclone? I would like to remove the after market stereo and go back to a stock GM unit. Any info is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to do it with no problems. I have never tried it but the wiring should be the same for power and speakers. If the factory plugs will fit the back of the CD player, it should work. You may want to call the GM dealer and see to be sure. Good luck and let us know if it works.

yes, with that part# it will be plug & play on a factory GM radio

I have a factory Syclone cd player that I don't need. It's like the Typhoon's except without the eq. I bought it from a board member here and was told it worked, but I never got around to installing it before the resto. I'll sell for $75 shipped if you want.

you will need the factory typhooon adaptor harness that allows the new the cd player to hook into the syty dash harness. it also has a new pigtail with fuse that runs down to the fuse block and a 7.5A fuse.

Didn't know the pigtails were different b/t the Ty's and Sy's. Looks like that cd player won't work in my Ty anyways. Sold to myclone.

does anybody has a part# or one laying around?
i was thinking about a simple R&R, but it was a no go, when i saw the rear of the Sy radio.
