I've been thinkin about doing a new cam along with the vortec heads. I havent seen much except for a crane and lunati one, is there any one in perticular that people run for a mild build and have had sucess? What about springs, pushrods, rockers, etc. just lookin for some input. I plan on doin the 12 second recipe along with a ta49 and the heads (as i mentioned)

A lot of the guys (myself included) like the Comp Cams line. Look at the "415" grind cam with Beehive springs and 1.5 or 1.6 self alighning roller rockers. In all honesty you need to do some port work to get the good gains! Our stock heads don't flow for crap. Look at some ported L-35's for a quick and easy swap but I would save a little for Vortec's and the intake manifold conversion. I think E-Rue at Turbo Time is doing the welding to your supplied intake for like $250 for the Vortec conversion. Good luck!
