Calling NY Area Sy owners - CLEAN STOCK FAST TRUCKS NEEDED

Good job Tom.

2nd place out of the trucks ain't bad, especially when it's to a truck with 13 more years of tech, a V10 and 500hp/500tq. Can't wait to get that issue of HMM. They've had a Sy in two issues already. 8)

It's good to get some publicity for the Sy's, but they brought together a pretty lame bunch of cars for the 'battle'....'77 Trans Am??? What?

The Sy, Lightning, and SRT are an awesome group of trucks. But they could've gotten a Dakota R/T, Typhoon, and a Silverado SS to top things off for the truck group. And for the cars... '86/'87 GN, '91 Vette, 90's Z28, 90's Mustang GT.

Congratulations Tom good times. ::eek:k::
I’m sure the truck looked good for the pictures.
Every time I met up with you 02 Nationals and 03 northeast gathering you were washing and waxing the bad boy. 8)

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it. Yeah the pool of cars was weak. The GN that was scheduled no showed, and I think a few other cars no showed. The next time I speak with HMM I will ask if they would consider a all truck shootout and include a Typhoon, Silverado SS, SSR, 454SS, Dakota RT, and any other sport trucks. I think that would be cool.

Just picked up the Jan issue: Here's a the good and the bad

Good:

Some Sy/Ty publicity
Meeting some nice people from Hemmings

Bad:

After all that, driving it out, blowing the oil return line, and the truck running like shit, we only get two pictures in there and the post the numbers and times from the WORST pass we made all day.

Oh well, at least the Sy is in a magazine. After driving it 200+ miles to that track, she still looked pretty damn good. I'll try and get some pics on here soon. Dameon (Stangbeater) took some nice pics of the group shots, maybe we can get some of those on here as well.

The HMM issue is Jan. 05. It has a 77 Trans Am and 76 Dodge Express truck on the cover. I don't know if its on the web. I'm sure you can call Hemmings and get a back issue.
