Need a California smog for my sy can anyone help me with a good hit list before I face the man any info would be great thanks

What has been done to your truck ? Do you have a AFPR have on it ?

Try to find a friendly smog guy (mine has a gorgeous GN) and get him to run the SY with the machine on "manual." That way he can tell you how far off you are and it doesn't get sent to Sacramento. He can't tell you -for sure- that you'll pass but he can come close.

Have removed cold air box installed original air box
Put stock chip in
Replaced cat, old one was rattling from the inside like a tin box full of nails
This truck is stock, as far as I know
Have passed the last 2 times but this time it failed
Only change was the cat

There probably is a reason why your catalytic converter failed.

There are different types of cats.
Need to make sure the cell count is high, the cheaper cats have a low cell count & does not burn most of the fuel.

Why was the test @ 15 & @ 25 MPH?

That is a good point. These trucks are AWD so the test should be a idle and 2500rpm test only. Did you go to a AWD Smog testing place ?

New NGK plugs UR6, new Taylor SpiroPro wires, BW cap & rotor, new Magnaflow Cat #39004, tan wire unplugged, idle @ 1000, AFPR @ 38 w/ vac disconnected & plugged:
HC = 2 (max 120), CO = 9 (Max 120).

180K mi Stock engine, stock turbo, Ultimate in stock position, 3" dp, cat & back.

If you disconnect the tan wire w/black stripe you will get a C.E.L. (check engine light), meaning, if the tech sees it, he will fail you.
