Guys, does anyone know exactly how much 4472 weights? I've seen some "70 lbs shipping weight" figures, but maybe someone can be more specific?

BTW, is this 1372 or 4472? Rear output housing on mine looks quite a bit longer.

Yes, but he is looking (or was) for a specific weight with 4472 with long tailpiece. So there would be a weight differece. He seems to be happy with just estimating now.

Maybe someone has some info on this box with 4472/short tailpiece? As far as I know the label should be Blue or Silver. Never saw a grey one? Is this a reman?

I just weighed both. The 32 spine output from my Ty weighed 71lbs, the one from my Sy weighed on at 67lbs.

Oh ok, sorry I see what you were saying now.

I bought the TC from a fellow who said he bought it new from GM for his astro van. Aside from his words I have no idea of the actual background of it.

So can I ask you what color tags are on your boxes? Since you have both there.... Just to satisfy my curiosity about that other box posted from Andrew S.

Thanks Dave,
That tag just threw me for a loop and it looked to be original bolts/unopened case that Andrew S has there. It is just I never saw any other color tags than Blue/Silver on SYTY's.

I can only imagine...(NCRS)

I rebuilt a few. The chain difference I thought was just how many blue links?...that's all I was aware of.
