built short block

Well, the time has come, as the stock bottom end has given up the ghost. 0 psi on #1 cylinder is not very good. Exquisite blow by would be a good describer. Looking for a built short block (stout) if anyone has one. Combination of loose components would be considered. I know I can buy one assembled from any number of good vendors, but just looking.

Re: built short block

no, only changed heads, cam, and injectors. I think this was a pre-existing condition that was amplified by the motor changes. Should have went with stout lower to begin with. Oh well, live and learn.

Lots of choices out there from our good vendors. Just FYI I have a std. stock crankshaft for sale if you go the DIY route and need one.

Re: built short block

I have a brand new fully built short block. brand new gm crank, cryoed, splayed 4 bolt pro grams, 422 comp cam, .020 je's, eagle rods, even have a fluid dampener and a sfi approved flexplate, both new with it. The motor had to be torn down and re assembled because a valve kissed a piston, it is still being put back together at the machine shop and i can get photo verification of everything for you. it would be a brand new motor, after all, it only ran for 5 minutes after i first built it before the slight problem. Piston is being replaced with a brand new one. pm me if interested.

Rpm sells the same exact thing (minus short fill) for 7 grand.
