 Those tires look freakin ridiculous with the bed off. What size are they? Looks sooo funny too without the bed on it.

I vote for building an all new bed out of pine! The zip-tied taillights are great.

Nice pics.. funny seeing a really nice sy without a bed like it's driven around like that. You should take it to the track for a few runs..

It is a little funny looking like that but seeing how this is right next to my house it wasnt a far drive. Every one needs zip ties!!!

Re: Buffalo, Syclone, bedless, (56K no no)

Tiny little spacer in back (1/4") no spacers up front, the front is the normal offset for a GS wheel. The back im cant remember what the offset was but its a 12in wheel.

The rear tires do rub a little but not much, i also have the end of a self-taping bolt comming through the frame on the Driver side that is going to get trimmed, as well as taking a cut off wheel and grind down the frame just a tiny bit where it is rubbing on the Pas side.

The fronts only rub or come near rubbing one thing, my AC line that i had to pull out for the RPM turbo kit (its minigate is in the wheel well a little) But that should only happen if the front is at full lock to the left, and hitting a bump hard at the same time.

(285/35/18 and 335/30/18, I think)

PS: if you find the wheels you want and arnt sure about the offset all you need to do is put it in the handydandy syty offset calculator. I got the wheels from Tomzwheels off ebay, lots of sizes, lots of styles, cheap, fast.

Danen-

I watched you run a 12.50 with the bed off but did not get a chance to chat with you. How much of an improvement did you gain with bed off?:p

I spoke with you at the NAts. Your a real nice guy. I was particularly interested in your many consistant 1/4 mile passes with the bed off to prove a key point for me, which was,,,,,if most all steel bed weight is gone, how well do we hook up ?
Obviously...you had near zero issues with hook ups. So I got my answer for future works and now I know it'll be well worth it.
Nice meeting you and thanks for the pix too !

Re: Buffalo, Syclone, bedless, (56K no no)

Danen, I called Tomz Wheels and they told me the 18X12 is no longer availble and the girl made me wait on the phone while she called. She also told me that BFG don't make a 275/40-17 drag radial either (I know that's not right!) :dunno: ! Now I wonder if she knows what she's talking about at all? Are you sure you got them from Tomz and if so do you know which company make the wheel so I can contact them direct? Help a brother out and hook me up !

Thanks!!
