yep...and the 1000hp shaft you saw around here is no longer. brandon was making them but due to a change in welders the quality went to crap and I believe he is not offering them at this time.

and yes. monster trucks have a front shaft and they have several thousand hp...so with enough money you can have anything you want.

"1000hp shaft " ????????

It must be KB along with their 10 sec. chip.

Don't laugh, such things exist.

I'm well aware that with enough money almost anything can be made but my point was, I wonder how many of these local shops actually have proof to support their claims. Talk is cheap in my book and were not talking about monster trucks.

I wonder who has tested a prop shaft on a 1000hp Sy/Ty to make such a claim.

I had a local guy build my shaft. He told me it would be impossible to break. Now i'm not saying thats true, but it is awfully beefy.

It is a chromoly shaft with a slip joint and a single large joint at each end. The shaft was built with racing in mind, so it does have a slight vibration at some high speeds. It's bearly noticeable, but it is there.

While my truck doesn't quite make 1000hp, it is up there. An entire summer of kicking the crap outta it and several trips to the trap and all seems good.

I dont know if your pushing almost 130mph trap speed in a full weight syclone then your not to far off from 1000hp
