I got my front pads replaced about 1.5 months ago. Two weeks after brakes died. Pulled a code 65. Following path indicated to replace ECHU. Took the truck back to the shop that replaced me pads.(They indicated that the ABS bleeders were open when the calipers where compressed back.) THey indicated that I needed a master cylinder. Master cylinder was repalced and problem went away for two weeks. One day I broke hard, the next time I applied my brakes I had a spongy brake. Same as before.
Took the truck back again and current indications are an ABS unit.
Any thoughts? Has the ABS unit been bad since BEFORE I got my pads replaced or did the replacement cause the failure?
THanks in advance. I'd rather not keep dumping money in the brake system.
