Just trying to get my post count up so i can post in the classifieds and thought i would share someting alittle different for you guys to read. We run a UMP Dirt Modified class that has no motor rules. Most guys we run against have 406ci motors and we run a 274ci 23degree iron head with a 3.400 stroke on alky and make over 600hp and are in the process of putting together a 305ci 18degree V6 motor. It impresses everyone that its not only competitive but a top 5 car at every track we go to and have pulled out a few wins on the way. So we thought it would be funny to put on the spoiler YOUR CHASIN A V6 and now all the guys we run against keep asking when we are putting a V8 in our car. I guess they get tired of reading my spoiler...lol

Re: Bowtie V6 in a Dirt Modified

We run mostly in the north east from PA,NY,OH,WV,and saturday we go up to NY and run for 5k. Two years ago we went up they had 72 cars there and only 24 start we started 13th and finished 3rd in the heat and ended up 5th in the feature. as far as i know we are the only car to make it 2 out of the 3 races they have had the race, last year we lost a driveshaft in the heat race going for 2nd place. then ran the Bmain started 13th and on the 6th lap was going for the lead and the left rear shock and slider broke taking us out of the race so we should have made it 3 for 3 with 60 pluse cars every year. We run the only V6 in this class that i have ever seen and it makes my DAD and I very proud that we can do what we do when we build our own motors in a small shop while the other guys spend 20k to 30k and have some one else build there motors for them. We only have 3k in our motor and a bunch of parts if anyone is looking for some let us know by PM THANKS

PS. Keep chasin that V6

Any interest in these? :) Got a full set brand new for a 18* motor 4.127 bore, gotta double check dome height before posting. I have no use, but figured someone on some dirt might.

We live in northern PA and thats what we run is an E-mod. We went down to pitt. and ran at PPMS but dropped a valve. But we were running a Buick stage2 V6 at the time. I see why they call that track the MONSTER half mile its huge most tracks we run are alot smaller. We also know a guy in Pitt that has some Bowtie parts he has a 3.750 stroke crank that we would like to have to build a stroker motor with.

same guy with the bowtie motor.

Pittsburgh is pretty big, its half mile around the inside. Lernerville is a nicer track, but its barely a half mile around the outside.

We have 410 sprints occasionally. Their average speed is 135mph (they are moving through the corners). Not alot of prize money, so it doesnt draw too many big names.

Re: Bowtie V6 in a Dirt Modified

They look like a big dome for a 18 degree motor. Do you know what the pin height is. Let me know if you have any more specs. I have a 23 degree motor that we might change over soon. Thanks
