Just an idea on one company to check with for the shirts -- AutoPro. We had some of their shirts embroidered for our FormulaSAE race team a few years ago. They have the cool "pit crew" type shirts pretty similar to the ones you showed on the first page of this thread, but I'm not sure about the varying color combinations, you'd just have to check with them to see.

Good luck!

Truckless. For now.
I can use it, but it will make the shirts cost more because it will add to my setup fee at the printers. it's going to cost me $50 per logo to set up the two-color screen printing. With the SoGT logo, that makes it $150 for setup, plus the cost of the shirts, etc. up front. I can do it, if there's enough interest, but it will make everyone else's shirts more expensive as well. Probably only a few dollars. I'll have to run more numbers and see what happens. :) I'll keep you updated.

..."Sadly some think Yoplait is rapper term for foreplay/sex"!

Ever think of offering a "work-shirt"...kinda Monster Garage-ish?
You know, the kind mechanics/bodyshop people wear, with perhaps
a Sy or Ty logo? Or a knit SyTy hat?

...then again, items such as SyTy counter stools, helmet and/or
tool box decals might be interesting, if "out-of-the-box" thinking is encouraged. :D

well, the problem is, I'm doing this under Mile High Syclone Typhoon, and we are a non-profit car club. My agreement with GM is I'm allowed to use the logos for "not for sale" products only, ie. club shirts, business cards, newsletters, etc. If I start making multiple products, that's where I get in trouble. I have to submit a sample of everything to GM before I can actually produce a full run as well. That's the price I pay for doing this all legally I guess.

Okay, Sorry for the huge delay. You all know how life is in general, then throw in a syclone or typhoon and well....

I'm all moved in, in a new town and settled in at my new job. So that means it's time to get this project rolling and finished.

I'm getting final word on color offerings and prices for the shirts this week. It looks like we may just go with one color for the Syclone shirts and one color for the Typhoon shirts so this doesn't get out of hand, and I can keep track of everything.

Sometime this week, I will put up a new topic to start the ordering process. So be looking for it.

again, sorry for the delay. I would have liked this to go down before nats, but life just gets in the way sometimes.

Good news and bad news.

Good news is, I'm very close! Bad news, looks like there's only going to be One color chioce for each. Meaning:

Syclone shirts = Black & Red
Typhoon shirts = Still looking for a good combo.

They just don't make enough styles and color combos to allow truck color scheme matching.

Good News, having only two types of shirts should lower price and speed up production.

As always, I'll keep you updated.

I'd go with black/grey for the Typhoon shirts. All of the Tys have a black interior, and there are several color combos with grey cladding (also, all '92s have silver decals), so black/grey should alienate the fewest people.

thanks for the suggestion. i was leaning toward black/white, but black grey makes the most sense. now i just need to find one that looks decent. :)
