Why do I get no fuel cut? I get 16-18 psi steady on the analog boost gage....while the stock boost gage(Map signal right!??) is looking like 14.(see diacom note below..map is getting full signal/max)... and I can hang there for 5 sec or more and never get fuel cut. I think I have the stock chip (I looked at the ecu case and it looks like the original tape is still intact, and diacom shows a stock prom ID )
Questions:
Will an aftermkt chip show a different than stock prom id on diacom? and are aftermkt chips reburnt on stock proms? and does that cause them to have a different prom id? or the same one?
Computer get boost signal from map, right? why does diacom show "turbo boost pressure" there's no sensor for that right? is it calculated by ecu?
If map is maxed, it should cut fuel after more than 2 sc right?
Do any stock Sy's have a higher fuel cut? I think it cut once when I hung at 18-19 for awhile...but could have been something else....never reproduced!
If my stock boost gage is maxed then I'm getting a full signal to the map and hence ecu , right???
I know the map is getting a full signal cuz diacom reads 31 inches of mercury or 14.8psi!! So why is this ecu not cutting fuel????
And why does diacom show turbo boost pressure AND map ...and they differ, but both eventually max out at 32 and 31hg respectively..
the truck runs great, but occasionally spikes to 21-22 and one time, climging a mtn the following scenario happend "WOT then off it for a second then WOT" it boosts out of control (24-26 psi)
