Boost solenoid ?

What should I do with the stock boost solenoid if I am running a 20g with bleeder style valve on it.. Right now the solenoid is hooked up to the wiring but no vac lines going to it... will that cause problems?

you can unplug it. the ecm wont know the differance and wont set any codes.

I removed mine and hid the wiring so I can plug it back in later if need be.

Cool, that means aftermarket boost controllers can be used. Things like gear-based boost limiting and RPM specific boost targets come in really handy!!!!

I have a turbo with a external WG and I have connected the vaccum hoses the way I saw in another post. But I still get more boost than I set on the ultimate . I was told to get rid of the stock solenoid and go with a manual boost controller. Im stuck. Any help please. TIA
