boost problem

I just installed atr's cold air kit in my car, everything seemed to work fine at first. Well i took it for some wot runs just to make sure and something strange happened. I am using a manual boost controller and it is set to 10 psi. Whenever i floor it it builds boost to about 5 psi and cuts off. The motor still runs and seems to respond to throttle but no boost. I can build boost slowly and it will go all the way but whenever i floor it, it cuts out. Also, im not getting any engine codes so it doesnt seem like an overboost problem. Anyone have any ideas?

whats the inlet size on the stock turbo, it seems that my orange hose is getting pinched between two cooland lines restricting the airflow.

This happened to me too when I installed my KB rear fenderwell kit. Turned out I had accidentally disconnected one of the vacuum hoses that goes to the wastegate solenoid. Set that back up and was good to go..........just something to check.
