boost cut?

ok under heavy acceleration and i hit max boost the Ty stumbles on its face. i feels like boost cut. i searched but couldnt find anythng about this. what do sy/ty's use to eliminate boost cut? this only happens when i really accelerate hard. if i accelerate under say... 80% hard it still pulls like a monster. my fuel pump is about to give out so could that also be a reason?

I would replace the fuel pump, then worry about the boost a crappy fuel pump is a good way to kill a turbo engine, just my :2cents:

i bet thats also the reason why im detonating when i hit full boost. the full pump is probably starving the cylinder. am i on the right track here? i just bought the Racetronix kit so hopefully when i install it next week itll cure both problems.

DITTO. If your fuel pump itself is having issues, simply replacing the harness isn't going to fix it. These engines WILL NOT tolerate detonation. If you can actually HEAR it, you are already WELL on your way to a rebuild VERY soon.

Also make sure your intercooler pump is working, i hotwired mine so it is on as soon as the ignition is on, instead of coming on at 160F

how do you hotwire the ic pump? that sounds like a good idea. and what are the benefits to doing that?

and as for the pump, i bought the entire Racetronix kit. the 255 pump and wire harness.

the detonation just happened once. i make sure to drive it like a grandma till i install the pump.
