might be getting a 94 700r4 as a core for a rebiuld, and wondering if there is a better valvebody than the stock syty one. If there is I might be interested in getting that one for the spare trans.:)

Re: better valvebody?

no. the stock VB is the best on egm ever made. if you want a trans brake or manuel vb or reverse pattern you will need something different but the stock vb is the best one to have.

Re: better valvebody?

Well, than what is recomended then because the core I was gonna get rebuilt is out of a 94 4wd blazer. I have read that our syty is the best GM ever made, but are there any other manufacturers that "are as good as" or "better than" what our stock one is? I did the search and it looks like the syty body is disco'd and I would like to get this core built up before mine slippes any harder before hitting second. Gonna be gentle till I have a real plan in the works.:(

Thats wierd, I thought all 700s were converted to 4L60e's in 94' and somein 93'...am I inaccurate with this assumption? :D

When you get your core rebuilt and go to swap tranny's, grab the valve body/spacer plate from your current tranny (clean out it first).

really, if that is the case than I'm screwed. Or are they the same. I'm new to all this trans shit so I don't know. If there is more info on this please let me know.

I was trying to just do a "remove and re-install" that way there is less shit to deal with as I'm a slow worker to make sure I don't screw anything up in the process.
