Battery re-location question.

I am in the process of moving the battery to the bed of my truck. I am wondering if I can just run the ground wire down to the frame under the bed, or should I run it all the way back to the motor > ?

ground it to the frame, jut be sure to clean the frame where you ground it and keep it clean

I ran a ground all the way back to the front.

I went to Autozone and found some 20', 2 ga., jumper cables for $40.
Kinda hated to whack the ends off, they were really nice.

I ran it along the frame rail up high to protect it.

Then when it enters the engine compartment, I used some Thermo-tec Thermoflex tubing to protect it from the downpipe heat.

I then used 2 stereo power dist. blocks to connect everything.

If you really want to avoid the possibility of electrical gremlins, I would go this route.
The battery is the holy grail of grounds and you'll find none better.

I grounded it to the frame right below the bed. I then grounded the block to the frame in 2 places, and the cab to the frame in 2 places. Works sweet for me thataway.

you grounded the battery to the frame underneath the bed, then ran a short wire from the block to the frame somewhere near the engine compartment?? Interesting! Does this create a stronger ground for the battery? If so, then I am gonna go this route.
4C FED : Good idea with the stereo power dis. blocks...keeping a fuse near the battery is a good idea.(gotta go spend more damn money now!!!) THANKS,
