AWD and brake proportioning

Hey guys, I've building a LQ9/4l80/BW4472 combo and it's going on a 91 Bravada chassis. Working out how I plan on doing brakes, keeping the ABS on the Bravada chassis seems difficult due to the computers and such.

Can I use a standard brake proportioning valve for the awd setup? In the past I've used these for 2wd vehicles then just gone out and had a spotter tell me which wheels are locking up first. But with AWD I'm unsure if this method will work or not.

What do you guys do for your trucks?

What ever it takes!!
Im using a wilwood proportioning valve setup on my AWD sy...I dont think its going to be an issue but I did delete the ABS.

Thanks man, some research led me to a similar conclusion.

You wouldn't happen to have the part number of the Wilwood valve you used, would you? I just removed the ABS and installed the CTS-v brake kit up front, and I can't get the brakes to lock up. I've flushed the whole system, replaced the master cylinder and the brake booster, and have bled the lines 4 times, and still no dice... All that's left is the proportioning valve. If that doesn't fix it, then I dunno what the problem is.

This is an old post but I was curious if the proportioning valve fixed your problem? I have the same problem but I have already replaced the proportioning valve with a wilwood. I was about to start looking at the booster when I read this...

I have Wilwood recommendations for front calipers, MC, and PV - all parts are Wilwood's. The rear brakes are stock drum brakes with very little wear. The pedal goes to the floor when the engine is running. I get a firm pedal when engine is off.
