well, seems as if the previous estimates are pretty much dead on.

Fresh off of Summitracing.com

6400: Sensor Module + Remote Control $199.95
6445: EGT (0-2,000) $229.95
6453: Oil Pressure (0-100 PSI) $249.95
6455: Water Temp (100-260) $199.95
6456: Oil Temperature (140-300) $199.95
6459: Boost/Vac (30 In. Hg. / 30 PSI) $249.95
6463: Fuel Pressure (100 PSI) $249.95
6474: Nitrous Pressure (0-1600) $249.95

Of course these are retail prices, not sure what the true MSRP is on them, but DAMN!

That price is fair for what you are getting. They would be out of their minds to let those go for less than $200 out the door IMHO. Hell, the Autometer "Cobalt C2's" sell for about two bills a piece... Between the gauges, custom machined fittings and whatnot, I have almost one large in my set up :-?:

"Autometer mechanical boost and SPA dual gauges (boost, trans temp & fuel pressure, intercooler temp). Also, gauge power switches (to reset max stored values in SPA's) and TCC lock up switch."

Morgan any idea how the sensors hook up to everything and the module. I like them alot but not if it means having spaghetti all over the already tight engine compartment.

Re: Autometer Nexus gauges

I've been itching to get these for my trucks but, like most of you that are reading this, have yet to get feedback from members and are reluctant to spend that much to be the test gerble. Just so happens that I have a customer of mine that is into gadgets and visually stimilating accessories. So....working up a bid to renovate an industrial backup generator with a custom control system which will incorporate the Nexus series stuff. I plan to go all out with it (with exception to nitrous) and will provide feedback for those who are considering the rather expensive series of gauges. Ofcourse, I have to bench test em here at the house first, right?

Damn, its nice spending other people's money . lol

MSD has made some really sharp guages...saw a display of them at the NHRA winter nationals in Phoenix..."Laser" model name I think?...

I'll stick to my AM "Cobalts"...friggen sweet looking

I really like the Colbalts illumination but I went with the C.F. instead. I really think the Nexus ones look cheezy and plain.

Re: Autometer Nexus gauges

I got my Nexus gauges this past week. The demo online doesnt do em much justice. The contrast and brightness is actually better in real life. The remote only serves as a data port for the memory chip once everything is set up...unless you just feel like changing the color. The setback on the remote is that its hardwired as opposed to wireless. Recording rate is approx 10 minutes per Mb which goes a long way with the memory available today.

Contrary to what I stated above, the gauge record and playback is done from the remote as well. Its a nice feature but would be better if it could somehow mesh with other logging and diagnostic software. Word to the wise....if you plan to take advantage of logging and playback, choose thy gauges well....like something the PCM or Datamaster cant see....like my setup ;-)

The sensors are not wireless and do require routing through the firewall but are 22awg so dont require any larger of a hole than would any conventional sensor.

One nice feature is that there is wiring from the main brain of the system uses inputs from the alternator and coil to sense rpm so a stand alone tach gauge is not necessary to display the rpms on the software playback.

As you already know, connections between the gauges is made by way of a thin string of data cabe. Makes for ease of installation of the pillar since there isnt any wiring clutter behind it. Need to take it off?, simply unplug the first gauge in the string and lay the whole pillar aside.

The biggest con is that the software that comes with it is a demo and requires you to call it in and get a reg code to use it beyond 30 days at an additional cost of $149. This is a real pisser considering what they cost. You can buy three sets of Pro Comps for the same price so why isnt the software free??? I made my opinion known to the sales dept at Autometer which will be followed up with a nasty email after a get a few beers down and my creative mind starts to work. On that same note, I mentioned to the only rep that knew what I called for (Laura) that I data log on my laptop but would like to also review on my desktop...."no prob". Install on both platforms and call with the user numbers from both. She'll give you two registration codes to make em BOTH good. Wish TTS did that. So, you dont have buy it twice.

All in all, pretty impressive setup. I've got 30-30 boost/vac, fuel pressure and (get this) WbO2. The pricetag was just over $1,100 shipped from Summit.

2 5/16 would also be nice but not available.

Wow, talk about hidden fees, I had no idea, nor would I be to damn happy to find that out after purchacing... In fact I think I'd send it back to em with a $150 fee for pissing me off.

Re: Autometer Nexus gauges

Renz, I'll send pics and vid when the WBO2 comes in. It's on a rolling backorder. I should have guessed so much. Its the only meter thats not on the Autometer website. Stumbled over it on Summit.

If someone had time to do some research or gab with tech support, see if the WB can be tapped into an engine's 3bar MAP sensor. They both use a 5V reference so cant you just use one sensor that could feed both the PCM and the Nexus system? If so, there would be no need to use two MAP sensors. Would be good to know if someone was considering upgrading to 3bar AND use the Nexus WBO2.

Oops. Forgot to mentiont that the WBO2 comes with a 3bar MAP. Hence the dilema above.
