Dave is an Awesome photographer... He got some great shots of my dragster a few weeks ago at Atco going 1.02 60ft and hanging the wheels 2 ft in the air! I would definitely buy the pic from him, that's a keeper! By the way, that "official" smiling in the backround is Tiki the starter. He's a good guy... Atco is my local track when they run big $ races.

thats insane:tup:the limiters will take care of that, mine was pulling the fronts then coming down and smoking them on contact with the track, put the limiters on and fixed it ,awesome times by the way, what was the boost level and 60' times?

Frank,
I'm gonna say your truck shouldn't lift that easy in the front with coilovers, mine only lifted inch or so when i launched it.

You might have a low # spring on those shocks which is what Ed had problem with and had to get heavy weight springs so it wouldn't lift like that did.

Might of went 1.4? 60' with all the tires on the ground.

Great Job.

Frank,

Very impressive build. Some limiters and increased shock dampening will help with the front end lift, more so than increasing spring rate. A double adjustable front shock to allow you to increase just the rebound rate would be an even better choice.

It has QA1 s on it!!! i just noticed today there set on max soft. Ill have to stiffen them up and get the limiters installed before the next pass. I also am switching out the boost controller for an AMS1000.
Might be time to get some lighter wheels and stickys for the track. Im going to transplant this combo into my syclone after the new motor is ready. This combo is allready beating all my expectations.
Thanks guys

Re: Auto Addictions Wheelie

Frank,

Stiffening the front shocks will certainly help, the downside with a single adjustable shock is that when you tighten up the rebound dampening you also tighten the compression. This tends to allow the front end to stay up longer before it settles down. If and when you convert that truck to ladder bars, just the opposite is needed in the rear, you will want less extension dampening to allow the rear tires to hit the track harder but stiffer compression to keep the body squat to a minimum to help keep weight on the front tires. Double adjustable shocks front and rear are a drag racers best friend :)

You got singles or doubles with coilovers. I think i had mine @ 4 or 5 stiff. All the way soft and then 4 or 5 clicks and that front end won't need limiters.
