Just wondering if anyone has tried using a trans brake on their rides???? Just wondering how they work.

Are you wondering how they work in general, or how they work on the 700r4? I have one on the dragster, but it's a powerglide.

I have one for my truck but its RWD so not sure my input will be of any help.

I heard a few times about Hartman doing brakes for the 700r4 in the awd application but don't think I actually saw a truck with one... maybe someone from colorado knows?

I know how they work I also have one on my Super Comp rail. I was wondering if anyone has used them on the sy/ty's at all.

4L80e yes. TH400 yes. TH 350 yes.
700r4 No. Absolutely not. Unless you like pieces. Little input planetary strips out. Junks the whole thing.

This is why I asked the question. If it wont work , then it wont work. Even if its built. THen I will have to try something else.

That's why I said "No". It will function. There are transbrakes available. But No the 700r4, NO MATTER what you do to it, will NOT tolerate a transbrake for long.

it's not that it won't work....it will...they make a transbrake for the 700r4. it just will not work for long.
