Anyone use a Bedrug liner?

Blow Me?
I was checking out Bedrug bed liners and they look pretty nice but say they are for 94 and newer S-10's. Anything like this out there for our trucks?

Re: Anyone use a Bedrug liner?

I have one, was in the truck when i got it from Randy. I think it looks awesome and this one fits perfect. I would assume it is year specific but i cant say for sure since i didnt actually buy this one. I probably have the receipt for it though, ill check...

Re: Anyone use a Bedrug liner?

They are discontinued. There was a few threads about this on the old board. You can find one every now and then on Ebay but they go for a few hundred.

I wonder what it would take to make one yourself?

Re: Anyone use a Bedrug liner?

I dont think it would be too hard to make one. the one i have is just like the carpet in a car with some velcro straps holding it in place on the bottom and sides. If you were to just cut around the wheel wells it wouldnt look too bad. I dont know how hard it would be to mold it to the wheel wells, but that would be the main difference.

Re: Anyone use a Bedrug liner?

I've seen many people line their beds with carpet but the appeal of the bedrug to me (besides being a drop in) is that it is actually plastic fibers instead of carpet and is supposed to clean very easily. I'm trying to setup my Sy so I can actually haul small items (like my mountain bikes) without scraping up the bed. That would mean getting mud (and possibly grease) on the liner which could be a pain to get out of carpet.

Maybe I'll have to go with one of those spray in liners? Not sure if I like the permanence of those though.

Re: Anyone use a Bedrug liner?

the carpet on the bedrug is different than the standard 'indoor/outdoor' carpet youd get at home depot etc... it feels a lil more durable. the main selling point for me, is that the bottom of the liner is padded with a thick foam rubber/styrofoam type material. which makes it pretty comfy if youre a nut like me and take a nap in the bed of your truck during your lunch break.

i just put a dollar value on my time, and figured the time and materials it would take to 'make' my own just wasnt worth the savings. good luck finding one now though.

Or if we have enough interest maybe we can convince them to make a small production run again.

I was at All Truck Nationals at Carlisle, got wasted saturday night partying with the Purple Helmets (Carlisle patrons should know them ;) ) and actually woke up the next morning in the bed with the tanaou cover down and latched. Luckily they were nice enough to leave the tailgate down. It wasnt too cold in there actually and it was comfortable  That has now become my Carlisle tradition, ive slept in the bed of my truck the last two years now

Re: Anyone use a Bedrug liner?

I just got one from this guy off ebay.. I received it and it looks like a bedrug for an s10 (haven't installed it yet.)I love the feel of the bedrug and the bottom of it looks like it won't scratch the box of the truck. I can take pics of it tomorrow... I don't know if he has more but here is the link to the auction and you can ask. He owns a truck parts and accesories warehouse.
