Anyone refinished their rims back to stock??

So I've decided against polishing/chroming.

I want my rims to look the way the did off the assembly line.

Is this as simple as stripping the clear and sanding very lightly to get the discoloration out??

neither...thats what I decided Against...stock now.

Had my fronts redone. Chemical strip, sanding and reapply the clear coat. For that I paid $125/wheel including the center caps. :roll:

I just did mine. I used airplane stripper and high temp clear coat. They look good. They are not perfect, but is cost me under $20. It took a few hours. When you sand them it might ruin the grooved machine finish. Be careful.
