In my quest to develop a plan for the typhoon rebuild and start acquiring parts, I'd like to move the boost and fuel pressure gauges off of the a pillar and I'd like to put them in the overhead console, tilted towards the driver... One, so they aren't sitting on the pillar drawing prying eyes, and two, I like the feel of a factory type interior and I even want to swap the radio to a factory looking radio. Thoughts? Anyone done this?

So I'm bumping this back up for thoughts or ideas... I'm buying parts while deployed to do a ton of work when I get back and I'd like to put the aftermarket gauges for the typhoon in the overhead or somewhere not visible from the outside. Basically make it look a little more stock from the outside. I realize it won't look or sound stock with the after market wheels and a louder more aggressive exhaust but I just like the look and feel of the factory on the inside. Anyone think an option like this would work?

Do you think it might be easier to adapt the full size truck console to the Ty rather then try to adapt the panel to the Ty console? If you're wanting a long console maybe that panel fits the ones out of the full size SUV's
