Has anyone here converted a non turbo truck to a turbo and what is required. i have a 92 jimmy 4x4 with a 4.3 and the motor is shot since i would be rebuilding anyway it seems like a good time to do it. i realize you would need different pistons and upgraded fuel system as well as custom exhust. my question is more about the computer. would i need different harness and computer from a turbo truck or could i rewrite the stock computer to work or would i be better off with a stand alone fuel managment system? let me no what you think

If it were me I would run a sy/ty 749 ECM and either pick up a sy/ty wiring harness or make my own from a TBI harness...

I vote both as well. Just go shopping for a Typhoon and be done with it.
