I was almost ready to pull the trigger on one of these until I read about the troubles people are having.

What problems? Mine has been working fine.

Not a problem with the product, but the communication. I first saw it on Ebay, but saw that the last sale he made in December had neutral feedback stating that they had contacted him, but no response.

I don't put too much credit in that, but then came here and have a couple posts within the same time frame stating that they're having difficulties contacting him.

Did you ever get a hold of him?

He called me back today...I asked him if the sale price still stands. He is going to check with AMD and call me back.

I found them locally just down the street for $450 after taxes. So I'm waiting to see if they're in stock.

i did buy one...going to buy another for the ty. These hoods are extremely sensitive to dings as expected.
