alum fabricated valve covers ( now with pics )

i have a deal made with a alum fab shop that has made me several sets of aluminum valvecovers for our trucks. if i can get an order of 10-15 i will be able to offer them for a price of 160.00 a set. i will try to make this a price including shipping. i need to know how many of you are interested?

soon to come fabbed alum oil pans. in the mid 300 price range. if anybody has one that they would like to donate for mock up puropses it would be greatly appreciated, and would be returned in like sent condition.

Will the valve covers be center bolt? Alot of us have Brodix heads w/ the old-style flange bolt pattern.:2cents:

Can they be made to the exact same dimentions as the stock stamped stell valve covers?

I'd take a set of centerbolts and 23deg. Brodix/Pontiac.
What about oil filler & PCV holes, included or extra?

As for the oil pan, will it have a deeper sump, kickout, internal baffling?

i am looking at diff options for the oil pans. i would really like to have a donar pan to go by. if i can't get one then we will be fabbing it from the ground up. therefore it will take a lil longer to give you the specifics. any input would be great as i am trying to get us what we want. what would you like to see in a new pan for our trucks?

Do you have any pictures of the valvecovers that are already done? Some of the welds and everything?

How about getting really fancy and making a set of two piece covers where the base and and the baffel crap stay put and the top (lid) comes off for access to the rockers for adjustment. That way you don't need to tare half the motor apart to adjust your valves.

be careful here as there are at least 4 different bolt patterns for aluminum heads.

Brodix - has 2
Pontiac - i've seen 3
Chevy - has 2

ps - some of these share patterns

pss - wait i almost forgot - some of the valve cover area are slightly different which may cause leaks if the valve covers aren't perfect.

psss - just make sure you send silicone along with the new covers and pan

really i am not trying to be a jerk - just stating the facts with aluminum pans and valve covers.

Well i would have been down for a set with the perimeter bolt pattern, but i recently bought a set of cast aluminum 4.3L valve covers with the perimeter bolt patter from B&B products, around 130 shipped and they are a tall profile, very nice piece, and no oil fill or PCV holes so i can out them where i want.

Heres what they look like except they didnt have the polished when i ordered and didnt know when they would have them in, so i just ordered the plain satin and plan to powdercoat them a natural aluminum color anyways.

They dont offer a V6 valve cover for the centerbolt heads.

If hadnt found these i was going to buy a set of covers from RPM, or even this GP is a great deal for some fabbed covers.
