Brian, I just have to clear up a few things here.

1. My turbo was reclocked and the piping has NO major bends in it.

2. Yes I was having IC problems because I put the IC on the day before I loaded the truck for nats and I did not get the reducer to go from 2.5" to 2" at the turbo so I was trying to make shift something to work at the time. I have the reducer now and not one problem.

3. I do have full AC system, it was on at nats. The only thing I have removed on my truck besides the stock junk suspension is the ABS other than that it is all there. except for cladding and front diff (both of witch will be on before the next nats hopefully)

4. I have not had any cooling problems and have drove the truck a lot and the IC is working great. I am costantly at ambient or just above for temps and turbo spool up is greatly improved.

On the 60' times, the people who do have the kits do not post on here and I will see if I can get a timeslip from one of them.

Al.. can we get some pics up in this place??
Will you IC work with a stock turbo as well as a modded turbo.. (ex clocked).. Does your kit require the removal or relocation of any parts?? (ex. Battery, ABS)... Think there are a lot of curious people out here who are interested in a great Air 2 Air unit however, no one seems to have had any good experiences with the units that are already out there... Your unit is new to the field but the info is pretty much non existant to those that didn't attend nats last year to catch a look... Any chance you could remedy this by taking lik2 20 pics of the core/piping/engine bay..?? thanks..

Hey coloty- Raced with and against a sy at the track sat. and he had a total Kenne Bell catalog truck- A2A, Jimmy 2 ext. deltagate, headers, heads, strip chip,...he ran no datalogging software at all(!!!) and I hooked him up w/ my DM for a few runs. His IAT started at like 98,ended at 122. I was 76/128 b/c of jabsco,ATR IC,lines, fan and ice before the run. Sure he'd be 15F below me at the end of the quarter, but post race return showed me loosing heat as quick as he was and I've got a trans cooler in front of the IC- he doesn't.

Thanks for the info, it sound like they arer fairly equal. Sounds like your water to air is more set-up than mine, I have the stock upper res. with a shur-flo and re-routed lines. My MATs are really good in the winter given the cold temps, but in summer they go way high. The air2air is much simpler and more maintenence free from what I am seeing/hearing.I'm thinking of changing to Air2air so thats why I'm asking 1000 questions. Thanks for the input

Yes, Air2Air is MUCH more simple. The hoses, tanks, pumps, and lines that disappear from under the hood alone make it worth it IMO.

My stock Air2Water has been in the attic since '93 and I've never missed looking at it under my hood!

Please be patient with the pics, I am in the middle of getting a new website made and all of the pics will be up on that. It is almost done and looks sweet from what I have seen.

Honestly there are ways to make both systems shine. but truthfully, this topic has been covered numerous times and the a/a for the street simply cannot be beaten. At the track when the truck is cold, iced, etc. the stock system works well. The larger units like the ATR/Conley etc. just get heat soak from the downpipe, so the lower half is useless.

On the street the a/a pulls temps down when u need it most, and is hands down the way to go. The only time I would run a water/air IC is without all the cches, aux coolers etc. Just the core itsef and a little igloo cooler full of ice.

Mike......what are your general thoughts on the KB air2air set-up??? Is it decent...good...bad??? I do like it because it is not front mount. I am probably going to get the KB unit here very soon. I already have the exhaust side of my turbo ceramic coated so that should help some as far as the throttle-body inlet pipe crossing over the downpipe and getting heat soaked.

If ya go with the KB A2A that sits below you should definetly build a scoop of some kind ie "big mouth bass scoop".

just my .02

THe KB IC is so so. The core itself is decent, and will support 600hp. Its been used on socal trucks making more, but i think it starts to become inefficient and a hold back to the system.

I prefer to reclock the turbo and build a new turbo to IC pipe. It comes with a lip which definately helps out and a 7" spal fan is almost necessary to mount on the backside to keep temps down when slow cruising.

I would eventually like to take a Dequick core with modified entanks and build a jig for my own piping. This way it would be a easy bolt on, and fit well. The front mounts(like my custom ones, and Al D's) are really the best design, but require alot of cutting to make them fit right.

Thanks Mike. I will give it a try. I will certainly look into re-clocking the compressor housing after awhile (I do have a garrett). I just need to get it on and working right before I do that. I appreciate the help. :D

Does anyone have any photos of a reclocked turbo? what exactly does that mean, moving the exhaust housing to enable the inlet to be easier to access? So what is the price for your kit Al? I would like to have one. man, you are going to make me broke really soon.
brakes, suspension, roll cage, a2a, anything else?? lol

I believe only a garrett style turbo can be re-clocked. Basically, it involves loosening the 5-6 bolts on the back of the compressor housing and spinning the turbo outlet pipe to another position other than straight up (stock). I would guess this would give the KB air2air set-up a better and shorter path to flow to the core.

Hi, please email or call for pricing on the a2a. You can reclock a stock style turbo as well and it is very easy, just one big c clip to remove and grind a little post down and put it back together.
