Air Foil

On Ebay there is a air foil kit advertised. Has anyone used this kit and had the gains he has stated could be obtained? I don't want to do many things to my Ty but this looked interesting. Thanks FTI

I assume you mean the throttle body air foil. On our forced-induction engines, those air foils seem to provide little or no improvement. I'm sure a smoother path for airflow is always better, but with the turbo they seem to help a lot less than they would on other cars...

...and the gain seen on some stock TPI and LT1 cars are ~2hp. For a stock truck save you money, IMO. Just for kicks, someday I should try swaping in the one form my corvette and see if I can see any gains at the track.

For those injecting alky before the TB, you may want to try an airfoil. While I have no hard data, it seems to make a noticeable improvement with regards to how much alky can be injected before the motor bogs.

didn't get to dyno it yet...but I'm expecting 15-20hp like the paper said.
