AFS Wheels

I'm seriously considering buying a full set of black GS 17x11/17x9.5 from AFS. I just wanted to know what kind of experiences some of you may have had with them and the quality of their product. Shipped price is $1000. Thanks.

I got mine from them and was very happy with their service and product. I got mine from Ebay though and if I remember correctly, they were a couple hundred cheaper.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep my eyes on Ebay, they don't have what I'm looking for now but I've seen them listed in the past.

I just pulled out my recipt from them. I also have the GS wheels with 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear for $610 shipped to my door. Tires I got from Tire Rack (BFG Drags) for about another $550.

They make nice wheels, I just wasn't happy with their customer service. I had ordered some of the Black GS wheels for my Corvette. Told them more then once I want the black ones. Low and behold I get the silver ones. I bitched and bitched and they still would not cover shipping back to them, plus I had to pay shipping back to me for the new wheels. I had to pay for their mistake, those fuckers. That still pisses me off to this day. I did send it back on my dime and have them ship the correct wheels back to me on my dime. Never had a complaint abut the wheels.

This re-invigorates me into trying these again...

What is the weight compared to stock?
I am feeling it now that I had my stockers chromed and they are 7lbs heavier each...

I want to do the 315 rear and something reasonable up-front with either chrome or silver.

$600 bucks or less seems amazing for a price.

The weight difference info would be good to have if you guys know.

Thanks,
-w

Why don't you swing up my way and I can show you the set sitting in my living room. I have a pristine set of GS rims 17x11 and 17x9.5 I am just waiting to get tires....

I guess I could also put them on the scale to get the weight.

I put them on my Ty, but didn't weigh them before I installed them. I did some searching, and one person weighed theirs.

17x9.5=51lbs with tires
17x11=55lbs with tires

I could find anyone who weighed them without tires.

Sorry I haven't had a chance to do this yet. It has been spring break with my daughter so it has been on the back burner. Now if I could find my scale....

Will I tried to call you but your phone would just keep ringing....

What's people's gut on what the difference vs stockers is then?

What do stockers weigh comparatively?

Hmmmm.

I need ZR Copies!!!

Whenever you guys can get to it...
I know how it is.

I borrowed a scale!!!

AFS ZR1 front = 20
AFS ZR1 Rear = 23

My stockers have tires on them but here it goes:

Front stockers with tires = 50

Rear = I need another jack stand Replacing front end parts so that might take a little while but I would think they are the same...

Hmm, looks like the AFS although bigger, might weigh in about the same as stockers?
