It would be hard to roll a Ty. I am sure lots more people roll vettes than Ty's.

Drivers think they are better than they are and put them on their tops. They "run out of talent".

The solid rear axle isnt the greatest, the weight isnt the greatest, but they can be hustled.

I am sure lots more people own vettes than Ty's.

Still doesn't change the fact that our trucks handle like crap in the real world. I know they have good skidpad numbers and in a perfectly smooth corner they handle decent but as soon as I hit a bump mid-corner it gets scary.

If you have ever done skidpad testing, you realize how much of a strange test it is. Watching vehicles drive around a circle. About as boring of a test as you can imagine.

Yes the skidpads are smooth. Bumps in the corner upset the solid rear axle. Bumps mid corner upset any car. Independent rear handles it better, but any bump in a corner upsets the chassis of any car/truck or suv.

The Sy/Ty are heavy truck chassis. A good portion of the weight on the front tires. A constant AWD split. They understeer. Stock suspension is fairly high. Torsion bars. Its really not setup to handle. Its setup - in other applications- to tow/haul/move things around. Just in the case of the Syclone/Typhoon its only really setup to haul....ass. At least in a straight line.

Put a rear sway bar on it. It will keep the feeling of the car wanting to "tip" over to a minimum. It will also improve the understeering situation. A good set of tires. Good set of shocks to control the axles movements. Whatever you can do to get weight out of it.

I have the following mods....

PST front end kit
New torsion bar mounts
Rancho steering stabilizer
Suspension Tech rear sway bar
2-inch lowering blocks
275/315 Nitto NT555r's

Looking to do the ZQ8 steering box and LS1 brakes eventually.

I had my Vette for 6 years and drove it like I was on a track all the time and never rolled it. Guess theres fake talent and real talent. I always see it as you really have to become one with your car/truck to handle it properly. Anyway, I suppose I can vouch for the TY holdong on and not rolling over as I was chasing this f*cker in a lowered Prelude who for whatever reason thought it would be funny to tell me I sucked donkey ass while walking out of a store. I would have loved to be in the back seat of his car when he was trying to outrun me on some back roads and couldnt shake me even through the turns. Still wouldnt say that it actually handled good though I just know how to take em. Woulda been much easier in the Vette.

Hold on here, Roll a Vette??? People are saying its ezer to roll a vette then a Ty. WTF

Not people - me. I am saying that more people roll vettes than roll Typhoons. Like someone pointed out - a lot more vettes than Typhoon so that improves the odds.

I dont think I have ever seen a rolled Ty. Probably a few other there. I know of a rolled Syclone.

Someone said when driving the Ty it would feel like it would "roll over"

I go to/ see a lot of insurance auctions. You see quiet a few vettes that have been on their tops. Fast car - step into the throttle- rear comes out - tag a curb sideways right- and its up and over.

Same thing will happen in a Ty, but it will understeer, and you wont have the "confidence" to take the corner quiet as fast or as dangerously in the Ty vs a Vette.

Well, I chased him for a few blocks around about four or five corners. I think this guy might do this often cause he was right by his house and set me up by pulling up behind me so I would have to turn around. After we made the first turn I was on his bumper for the rest of the chase. Him and his friend pulled into a long dirt drive way and I followed even though they were heading for a garage that was opening. They pulled into the garage and I wasnt gonna beat the crap out of him in his own house so I just yelled "thats what I thought faggot". Then I went to his beautiful green grass and did an AWD burnout on it. My friend thought I was nuts. After I dorve off I felt kinda bad cause I do landscaping and that was some real nice grass.
