Funny-this distributor is not in the 2010 Accel catalog?

Curious as how to sync the sensor??

what do you need to know? (i cant get link to work) Look in the back of their catalog thats My syclone, the 4.3 dual sync was made to runMy syclone in full seq Im resonably sure Ed Hess has the second one made

Re: Acell 77151 Dual Sync

I wanted to run this distributor with the 411 PCM conversion instead of having to install a reluctor wheel on the crank.

Just wanted to know before $400+ is burned that there is tech support and the crank signal can be duplicated. (synced)

Although using this distributor is less labor intensive -but more $$

Re: Acell 77151 Dual Sync

you can "sync" the distributor they refer to it as "phaseing the rotor"
it uses dual hall effect sensors for the pickups

shit I might have one somewhere that you could borrow and try

shit that would make my day!

I found accels instructions for sync ing but they refer to their engine management package.

Just want to be sure that it generates a square wave signal at the right pulse that the factory PCM can read.

oh now your making me think IIRC it has a square sign at each ignition event, and one at TDC piston 1 for crake reference

Need somethign more than IIRC ! :squint:

Someone else is calling Accel to pick their brian on this.

AEM makes a distributor with a 24X crank and 1X cam signal FWIW.

Is it worth the trouble, if any? I got the BS3, was looking at the dual sync distr. sold by RPM, any advice would be appreciated.

Since I've been waiting over 2 years, for my answer from Acell, I think you should buy a product from a company that at least gives half a crap about their custormers. If you need a crank signal, you can just put a factory crank reluctor (1996 and newer 4.3) on the front of the crank and use the timing cover from a 1996-2001 5.7 vortec V8 to mount the sensor. You'll need to machine about 0.090" off the back of your balancer to get it to sit in the same position, when you press it on, since the reluctor takes up some of the space. on the crank snout

Thanks,
So, nothing for a novice I guess, I'll have to do my homework before I start with something like this.
