Alright i've got a 94 s10 that i'm in the middle of doing a turbo build with a built Hitech/Mccoy Typhoon motor and a PT60 turbo. I was told when i picked it up he has pushed this build to over 600HP at 20-23lbs of boost. I however don't think i am going for MAX HP, i want safe dailey driver (for the summer months anyways) and more realistic i would just like to get into the 12's and have it last.

With that being said i am looking at intercoolers. I think i like treadstones intercoolers and have a freind on here thats got one and liked it.. and suddenly they dropped 200 bucks.. so its looking pretty good.

Now the problem is i need to mount it on the frame rails on the front at a angle. So its going to need like a scoope on it to force the air through it and it still won't move air like it would if it was mounted straight up and down.

I've been looking at the options and seeing if i could work it in somewhere else infront of the AC or something but i've got the radiator, ac condensor and then the tranny cooler and probably oil cooler soon. I know guys have mounted them down there and had them work fine but just little worried about it. I play on spraying meth and or C02 on it under boost to try and help out more but who knows.

So what do you guys think ? I will try to get some pics tonight and show you where it would go.

Did you check out the Mccoy intercooler?? I like it on my setup, seems like the most efficient and direct setup for our trucks. It is a little pricey

wow you had Mccoy do your whole setup eh? Thats pretty awesome, I had Hitech do everything on my motor complete product except assembly.. I wanted to do it and it saved a ungodly amount. But i was left kinda hi and dry on the rest.

See my truck is a 94 though and i don't think any of that sy ty stuff will fit being the older generation.

think the smaller intercooler will be enough ?

hey brock, i got a treadstone intercooler on my truck. its a quality piece. i would recommend one with outlets on opposite ends for an s10. here are pics of mine

say good bye to your a/c if you mount it like that though. the style intercooler i have made it easy to mount it this way and run piping. i cant seem to find one on ebay though :squint:

procharger makes a the same style intercooler i have and i have seen them mounted on s10's the way you are describing. keep an eye out on ebay for them as well, i have seen them go real cheap
