A2a B.s.

So I got my front mount all done and damn does it look insane. I used some complex parts to run out of the turbo and then it runs in front of the Efans and curves around. In that section, I can not keep the pipe from coming apart to save my life. I dont know what else to do. My other A2A had a big long pipe with no lip and it always held fine. Tomorrow, I am going to try a longer piece of turbo hose in hopes that it holds. I got the IC form Just Intercoolers and the piping kit as well. Thier clamps and couplers plain flat out ****ing suck my big hairy ass. The couplers are a wopping 2" long, and thats for 3" tubing. What a joke. I had to use a 2"x3" 45* bend for the turbho outlet and then into a 3" 75* bend and fanagle it just right to get it around the belt accessories. Well, the 45* I got form Silicone INtakes.Com blew ass as well. There is no where near enough 3" part of it to get it on a decent amount. What a headache I tell ya. Hopefully my plan for tomorrow will work, if not, I guess Ill have to pay someone to weld some beads on all the piping.

Re: A2a B.s.

is that a kit or is it home made? I had to weld around my TB to keep the coupling from popping off.

If you can find a place that has a bead rolling machine that might be a decent option. Most shops that have that sort of thing will do it for minimal cost, if not free. The hardest part is finding someone with one. You could always ship the tubes out for it too, at least, if the truck's not your daily driver..

Oh, and feel free to throw the clamps you got from J.I. into the trash and get yourself some T-Bolt clamps. That will save you headaches down the road...

Hit the pipe with some hair spray before you slide the coupler on. Sounds ghetto (It is) but it helps. But honestly getting the pipe bead rolled would be best.

Couldnt find anyone in town to roll it so I took it to a shop that welded beads and one of the pipes together to eliminate one coupler. So far its holding 18psi no problem. I have to say, the A2A feels waaay better than stock. Feels better than the McCoy type IC I had as well. I didnt think it would change anything but definately feels different. You can get out and touch the IC and its cold. Looks absolutely insane behind the grill as well.

windex also works well.. slipery to get the coupler on, but then drys up so the silicone wont slide of.
